Discussion Board Frequently Asked Questions Answer
Question B4. I'm using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and/or
Windows Vista, and when I go to post on a discussion board, I
see the editing tools, but no place to enter text. How can I
resolve this?
Answer. Vista's security features are preventing the
loading of an ActiveX applet, used for the text entry area. In
order to do this, when first logging in to Blackboard, click
"Personal Information", then "Set Text Box Editor Options". In
the Text Box Editor options, under Set Availability, choose
"Unavailable". This will prevent the text editing utilities from
launching, but will permit you to enter text on discussion
boards. |
